Research On The Design And Development Process Of Enterprise Business Model

In the current market environment,whether it is a start-up or a mature enterprise,a good business model is very important for the enterprise to have the competitiveness of sustainable development.The existing research on business models almost focuses on the research of mature business models,such as the relationship between business model and the structure of an organization,the relationship between business model and strategic,etc.The research on the innovation of business model is mainly focused on the innovation evolution of mature enterprise or mature business model,Under this background,the research of business mode design and development process helps us deepen our understanding of enterprise from basic formation to gradual adjustment of evolution.In this study,an exploratory multi-case study was used to discuss 13 start-ups.In the process of multi-case study,a case study database is established by the information obtained from different channels,such as interviews,archives,and direct observation.And we will collate the second-hand information collected in the early stage,interview transcripts,transcripts,subsequent supplementary information and data obtained through field observation.The data is encoded and saved in the case study database,and multiple case studies are conducted through the methods of"explicit analysis" and "replication logic".Cross-case pattern sequencing method and tabular display method are used to verify the information found in each case and to be modified.The following conclusions can be drawn from this study:the process of business mode design and development is generated from scratch,and then adjustment.The different stages of the whole process show their uniqueness.The process of business model from scratch includes four stages:opportunity identification,creative formation,concept definition,and commercial model development verification.The personal characteristics of the entrepreneur,the solution of the key pain points and the uncertainty have a significant impact on the design of the business model in the whole process.The direction of business model adjustment is decided by the managers'perceptions of the business model.The managers' perceptions of business model mainly come from managers' trial and error learning.When managers form a new business model awareness,the business model will evolve and adjust accordingly.The process of evolution and adjustment is reflected in the interaction and matching between business model elements.When the core elements of the business model changed fundamentally or the business model structure changed fundamentally,the business model presents radical adjustment.When the external factors of the business model changed,while the core elements and the model architecture are not fundamentally changed,the business model presents incremental adjustment.
