The Strategic Research Of The Coal Business Development Of Linyi Mining Group

China is the largest coal producing and consuming country in the world.Coal accounts for over 50% of primary energy production and consumption components.The coal industry is the pillar industry of the national economy.The fluctuation of macro-economy will bring deep innovation for the coal industry.Linyi mining group is one of the large-scale coal enterprises in Shandong province.After years of optimizing industrial structure,enhancing acquisition of resources,and building highly efficient model of operation,it has developed into a large scale enterprise on the basis of a small scale local state-owned coal company,covering Shandong,Inner Mongolia,Shaanxi,Gansu domestically and Hong Kong(SAR),Australia abroad.With the support of logistics business,technology services and modern agriculture,Linyi mining group's business mainly focuses on thermal power,iron mine,and fiberglass.At the moment,the coal industry Linyi mining group has undertaken is faced with the opportunity of both industrial structure and policies' transfer.It is urgent for Linyi to relocate its industrial development orientation and construct its new development model.Based on the coal business' strategic formulation of Linyi mining group,this paper systemically reviewed the economic,policy and industrial environment of its strategic adjustment.It analyzed and evaluated its internal resources and value chains,pointing out the opportunity that Linyi has in the aspect of the industrial policies and advantages like technology,resources and brand etc that Linyi possesses.On the basis of the qualitative and quantitative analysis,Linyi formulates its limitedly diversified and wholly progressive strategy of growth with the focus on coal and with core of coal-related industrial chains.After systemic analysis,this paper thinks: Linyi mining group's coal business is supposed to grasp the good opportunities of putting forward coal industry polciies,developing recycling economy,and speeding up the elimination of poverty in the coal industry,and to make use of its own advantages of management,technology and talents of coal mining.Linyi also should focuses on the coal mining and comprehensive usage and try to develop on the basis of coal industry.At the same time,Linyi should go forward and transform its industries,actively develop thermal power,coal chemicals and other diversified industries like modern agriculture,logistics services and mining technology services and so on,with the stretching of related industries on the coal chains,trying to make its non-coal industries stronger and achieve a long-term and sustainable development.This paper also thinks the strategic supporting measures for Linyi's coal business mainly lie in progressing management innovation;breaking the bond of traditional systems and institutions;releasing the dynamics of elements like resources and human resources;acquiring the driving force of innovation of “bonus”;nurturing a group of leading innovators,talents that master key technologies in key industries,team of innovation that master its own intellectual property;progressing technological innovation,and leading company's development with advanced technologies.
