In recent years,the Engineering Procurement Construction(EPC)contracting mode has been developing rapidly in China,especially in the fields of power and chemical industry,EPC mode has become the mainstream management mode.The chemical EPC project is involved in many specialties and complex engineering,and involves many aspects such as design,procurement and construction,so the risk management is more pressing,management is extremely difficult.In the process of implementing EPC project of N company,because of insufficient project management capability and improper risk management measures,causing confusion in design process management,frequent problems in purchasing process,disorder in construction process management,resulting in the decline of design quality and project profit.During the process of Jiangsu High Density Polyethylene(HDPE)project,appearing typical risk management problems of N company style,this paper takes this project as an example,introducing the EPC project management process of N company,and arranges the risk management problems of HDPE project,then using the basic theory of risk management,analyzing the problems of HDPE project risk management from several aspects,such as risk identification,risk assessment and risk response.In the process of risk identification,the risk management problems of HDPE project were enumerated and comprehensively analyzed by means of checklist method and Delphi method,getting a scientific summary table of risk management factors,combining EPC project management process,and then classifying these factors as engineering risk,purchase risk,construction risk and management risk.In the process of risk evaluation,through giving out the AHP questionnaires,getting the expert scores,and then using the analytic hierarchy process to establish the risk evaluation model,and quantitative analyzing the weight ratio of each risk factor,at last,dividing the weight ratio into high risk,medium risk and low risk.In the process of risk response,according to the specific situation of HDPE project,different risk response measures are put forward according to different weighting factors.In order to prevent the proposed risk response measures can't be put into practice,the corresponding measures are all responsible by the chief engineer of the company or the leadership of the department to ensure that the measures can be implemented in EPC project.It is hoped that through the research and analysis of HDPE project risk management of N company,the risk management factor weights can be obtained,and then divided into high,medium and low risks,which will help to optimize the focus of HDPE project management.To a certain extent,the risk coping strategies can improve the risk management level of HDPE project of N company.Then popularizing risk response measures in EPC project of N company,solving the risk management problems in EPC project,improving the design quality,increasing the profit of EPC project.
