Since Germany entered the aging society in the early 20th century,Germany has now become a severe aging country.Research on population aging has been conducted for decades with research experience and mature corresponding laws and regulations. The development of"multigenerational housing" in Germany has gone through three generations and basically meets the needs of life activities of the elderly and other age groups in the community.Since the 90s of the 20th century,China has gradually entered an aging society. The issue of aging has become an important factor that currently affects the stability and development of our country. The influence of family planning policy, the change of family structure, the weakening of the family pension function and the reduction of intergenerational support."Multi-generational housing" has a lot of room for research as an important part of the building produced under the influence of aging.Multi-generational housing is a multi-generational public-building activity within the community generated by the theory of intergenerational mutual aid.It contains multiple functions of multi-generational activities, childcare space, living service space, office management space, activity recreation space and traffic space area.Elderly people,children,middle-aged people, young people and migrants in the community are all "multi-generational families".The design of "multi-generational" space will greatly affect the usage of the building, the efficiency and quality of service management, the space perception of the user, the enthusiasm of the activity and the feeling of comfort and convenience in use. This article is divided into three parts in total, five chapters:The first part(the first chapter)is based on the deepening of population aging in China and the increasing demand for suitable buildings.By comparing the aging process in Germany, identifying the research objects and the research purpose, research methods, content framework and so on Analyze existing research related to multigenerational housing in Germany. The second part(the second, the third and the fourth chapters)gives an overview of the generation, conditions, development process and clients of the "multi-generational housing" in Germany and the basic situation and spatial characteristics of "multi-generational housing" in Hamburg Conducted in-depth research on information statistics, individual "multi-generational housing",conducted interviews with users and volunteers, and then concluded the first generation and second generation "multi-generational housing" in the functional composition and characteristics, spatial layout, space details And operations management and other aspects of the main features. The third part(Chapter V)is the conclusion of the second part of the empirical research to provide the German experience reference for the functional allocation and space construction of the community-based retirement facilities in China. The results of this study are expected to introduce the generation and development of spatial patterns of multi-generational housing to Chinese readers. The theoretical methods and concerns formed in the process can promote the design and study of various spaces in the community-based retirement facilities and improve the design theory of community-based retirement facilities System to improve the living quality of community residents, especially the elderly.
