The new energy generation uses roughly wind energy,solar energy,biomass energy,ocean energy,and tidal energy,and the most mature development is wind power and solar power generation technology.The Ningdong region is just in the northwest region,and solar energy,wind energy,and other new With abundant energy resources,it is the best choice to develop new energy.With the trend of continuous expansion of new energy sources,access to high-voltage power grids will inevitably lead to more complex fault current characteristics,which in turn will cause great difficulties for relay protection calculations;The changeable operating mode after it is integrated into the power grid will also greatly affect the steady state and transient state of the power grid,thereby interfering with the normal and orderly operation of the entire system.In addition,access to the distribution network in a decentralized manner will also cause some problems.The main problem is that the protection of the distribution network may no longer be applicable.Another problem with automatic reclosing is that it cannot work properly.Reclosing plays a very important role in the new energy access distribution network,which can effectively prevent new energy sources from leaving the network.This paper gives an overview of the configuration of relay protection in Ningdong region,which focuses on the issue of low voltage traversal after new energy access,and then formulates the relay protection setting principles according to the fault conditions;then it mainly analyzes new energy sources.The impact of access to the power grid on relay protection is mainly related to the impact of wind farms and photovoltaic power stations on the protection of the power grid.This paper discusses and analyzes the way in which wind farms and photovoltaic stations are connected to Ningdong Power Grid,and analyzes in detail the operation and role of local grid stability control devices.After that,the establishment of relay protection setting after accessing new energy sources was explored,and the calculation of relay protection short circuit after new energy access was analyzed.
