The construction of domestic infrastructure began to slow down giving a great impact on the dredging industry in the last five years.Dredging enterprises are facing severe living environment.Meanwhile,competition between dredging companies is becoming increasingly fierce as our country continues to open up its markets.In order to stand out from the crowd,the dredging companies need to improve internal project management mode,and constantly enhance project management level,especially the ability of progress and cost control to improve the core competitiveness.Currently,most of the domestic dredging companies do not pay sufficient attention to progress control,and still use the traditional cost accounting method on cost control ignoring the link between schedule and cost in the process of project management.Aiming at the particularity of dredging industry,this paper analyzes the main factors that impact on schedule and cost of dredging project and list the main problems existing in the progress and cost control of domestic dredging companies.Through the application of the project management methods in Tonggu channel dredging project,such as the transverse track chart,S curve method,the network plan technology and Earned-value method,the paper cleared the whole process of the project schedule and cost control of dredging project,established the joint control mode and analyzed the key points in the application of Earned-value method.Under the effective control,Tonggu channel dredging project was completed 15 days ahead,saved 3,800,000 yuan and received the good social and economy benefit.The primary fruit of the paper is to introduce S curve method and Earned-value method into the cost and schedule control of dredging project and improve the efficiency of project management of dredging enterprises achieving the effect of shortening the project duration and saving the project cost.
