Research On The Formulation System Of Street Design Guidelines

With the economic development entering a new phase,the core of urban development has shifted from area extension to the improvement of space quality.At present,with the need of transformation of urban spatial development control tools,the framework of overall urban design should be changed from classification based on spatial scale to classification based on spatial elements.The overall urban design implementation approach should be directly applied to city management,and the work should be the policy and design guidelines for each specific element.Street space is the largest and most widely distributed space element in urban public space.It has important social,economic,cultural and ecological values and is important in urban design.Taking streets as an example,this paper makes a thorough study on the formulation system of street design guidelines.In the part of theory review,this paper systematically summarizes the concept,importance and development process of urban street,finding the main problems and causes of current street design condition,and analyses the development status of domestic street design guidelines through literature review.In case study,this paper analyses several typical street design guidelines with a unified analysis framework.This paper summarizes the highlights and dilemmas of current domestic street design guidelines through case study and practices review,and select proper cases to study.On the basis of study on overall urban design,and through the results of case comparison research,considering city condition,the formulation system of street design guidelines from the perspective of overall urban design is constructed,and is applied to ShanWei PingQing Lake area.This paper attempts to construct the overall planning system of "General Urban Planning-General Urban Design-Specific Element Guidelines",clarify the conceptual connotation of design policy guidelines and design guidelines;And explore the framework and implementation approach of Street Design Guidelines from the perspective of Overall Urban Design and for management and implementation.This study makes tentative attempts and great efforts on street design guidelines and overall urban planning system,hoping to provide a new way of thinking.
