Research On Port M&A Performance Evaluation From Supply Chain Perspective

Under the background of the "One Belt,One Road" initiative,China's port industry grasps the opportunity of infrastructure construction in the Silk Road Economic Belt,accelerates the integration of port resources and enhances port efficiency,but at the same time,competition between ports,particularly between regional ports is heating up.The competition between ports has changed from a single company,s single-player competition to a supply chain node enterprise's entire supply chain competition now.Port companies have integrated port resources through port M&A activities to improve the entire port supply chain.competitiveness.This paper is an in-depth and systematic study of port M&A performance evaluation from the perspective of supply chain in the context of increasingly fierce M&A in the port.Firstly,the paper concludes that the development of China's port industry is good,but the service awareness is weak,the level of informatization is low,the development of port resources is becoming the trend.Port M&A is heating up and mostly horizontal.The integration of port resources in the region is mainstream,cross-border M&A are in swing,and China's port acquisition characteristics that accelerate the pace of overseas port M&A,thus clarifying the port M&A motives that maximize the overall efficiency of the port supply chain.Horizontal M&A between ports can be used as an effective means of port supply chain management.The port supply chain can be reconstructed through the integration of two port supply chains,making the port supply chain more compatible,rationalizing the layout of upstream and downstream nodes,and increasing the supply chain.Dynamic,and realize supply chain information sharing,thereby improving competitiveness of the port supply chain.This paper analyzes the impact of port M&A on the port supply chain,selects the performance evaluation index applicable to the port from the perspective of supply chain,and uses the matter-element analysis model and the weight determination method of the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the port M&A performance from the perspective of supply chain.Based on the typical port M&A of Ningbo-houshan Port,this paper analyzes the port performance before and after the merger from the perspective of supply chain,thus representingNingbo-Zhoushan Port.Domestic and foreign port M&A and supply chain management provide a reasonable performance evaluation system to achieve sustainable development of port enterprises.
