Since 1980 s,China's economy has been growing steadily at an annual growth rate of 9.8%.And the country's infrastructure such as road,airport and port,as well as the living standard of the people have been improved constantly.With the popularity of Internet and smart phones,each of us has become the producer and the receiver of data.Mass data influences our life,work and study from time to time.For example,we can check the traffic condition through navigation software in order to plan reasonable driving routes before heading out the door.During online shopping we can depend on the sales of goods and credit evaluation to determine sellers' credibility.It can be said that presently we cannot live without massive data,since the era of big data has come.Data affects everyone in society,and even national macro-economic policies and the development of enterprises in real time.Through analysis of big data,we can reasonably and successfully guide the flow of passengers during the Spring Festival to relieve the traffic pressure,accuracy of meteorological agency's forecast can be increased to reduce the impact of such disaster weather as floods,gale and cold currents on people's lives.Big data technology brings us with new thinking and methods to analyze and solve problems,and makes scientific decision-making depend increasingly on data instead of personal wisdom.It makes it possible for ubiquitous data to achieve its real value.As for the container terminal of Qingdao Port,there are interior data and exterior data.Its interior data includes structural and semi-structural data such as container liner information in port,container movement status,equipment management,running log in server,custom release information of imported and exported goods,document files of various types and image files,etc.And exterior data involves Internet data of website and mobile phone client,related information of the industry and government data to the public,etc.In order to adapt to the “new normal” and enhance its core competitiveness,the Port of Qingdao need to apply big data technology innovatively,deepening container terminal data management and application for the realization of data analysis and forecasting,and to consider big data technology as a new impetus to promote Qingdao Port transitional development.The paper mainly includes four parts.Firstly,it introduces the concept of big data as well as its characteristics.Secondly,it explores container terminal's needs in data management,and finds that its specific needs for big data technology are data sharing and deep utilization,visualized data indicators and forecasting.Thirdly,existent problems about data management and analysis are summarized.Last but not least,it designs the framework of data management platform,intelligent KPI analysis application and intelligent yard application.
