In this paper,seed germination and cutting experiments for the herbaceous plant potherb mustard,the woody plant acer truncatum and photinia frase were carried out by using the hydroponic method and cutting method.This paper discussed the effects of different hormones and concentration of salt solution on the germination of seeds.The paper also discussed the effects of temperature,humidity,and light condition on the survival rate and physiological change of acer truncatum andphotinia frase.The experiment determined the contents of peroxidase(POD),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malonaldehyde(MDA).The study provides an effective theoretical basis for better engineering rapid breeding,and the main results are as followings:Under the effect of 0.2%gibberellin,the seed germination rate(98%),germination potential(82%),germination index(40.49),and blasting rate(95%)of the seeds of potherb mustard are achieved optimally.The seed germination rate(48%)and blasting rate(42%)of acer truncatumboth reachthe highest level under the effect of 0.2%gibberellin,and the germination potential(34%)and germination index(8.04)of acer truncatum reach the best condition underthe effect of 0.3%gibberellin.And the growth efficiency of the seeds of acer truncatum is particularly improved under the effect of the hormone.Under the effect of 0.05%NaCl,physiological indicators of potherb mustardare higher than those of the control group.As the concentration increasing,it is apparentlythat low concentration can promote the growth and high concentration can inhibit the growth.In different NaHCO3 concentrations,the overall indicators show a downward trend,and in the0.3%concentration,the seeds can not germinate.The germination index(4.04)and germination potential(18%)of acer truncatum reach the highest level in the 0.05%NaCl,and the other indicators are in a downward trend.The degree of saltdamageshows as NaHCO3(potherb mustard)>NaHCO3(acer truncatum)>NaCl(acer truncatum)>NaCl(potherb mustard).At each time period,the activities of POD and SOD are higher than those of the controlunder the treatment of NAA,and the overall trends both showa peak period.The POD activity of photinia frase shows a rising-falling-rising trend.The content of MDA in the cuttings is proportional to the damageextent of cuttings caused by the adversity.The overall content of malonaldehyde is in a rising-falling-rising trend.The peaks of POD,SOD and MDA in the hormone group of acer truncatum and photinia frase are:691(U/g·min),248(U/g·min),3.11(nmol/mg),9298(U/g·min).32.33(U/g·min),and 9.71(nmol/mg).In the cutting process of acer truncatum and photinia frase,POD and SOD activity increased significantly,and MDA content decreased.the internal metabolism of the plant is relatively strong,and the hormones have a significant effect on the rooting and survival of the cuttings.
