The UK did not issue UK National Infrastructure Plan until 2010,since when infrastructure separated itself as an independent legislative branch. In 2015,the Infrastructure Act was firstlyenacted,of which amendments concerning a chapter or a specific provision have been irregularly made.Legislative texts tend to be large-scaled,stylized and laddered. The beginning of these texts is always correlated with ending.Computer translation technology, technically available for more efficient technical translation, dooms to be an irresistible trend for future development. The author tried to combine computer-aided translation tool Trados with British legal text Infrastructure Act 2015(excluding Schedules)to carry out translation and completed this report. The paper is addressed including how CAT software Trados shows advantages and disadvantages during transferring languages of stylized legal texts, how translators give the rein to subjectivity when overcoming obstacles by virtue of corresponding translation methods so as to interfere in and control the quality of legal English translation.Undoubtedly,Trados is superior in terms of high efficiency. However, the translator still plays a prominent role in the course of translation, who has to set about manual adjustment by bringing subjective initiative into play. The approaches to tackling the problems in translation are composed of empirical approach, interdisciplinary research approach and case study. The features andoperability of translating legislative texts by computers are produced in the paper. An in-depth analysis is given regarding the necessity of manual intervention and translation strategies taken for translation difficulties. In the last part, the author draws a conclusion on the whole translation project, including inadequacy, along with personal feelings and experiences.
