On E-C Translation Of Polyolefin Analytical Handbook

The report is based on the translation of the Polyolefin Analytical Handbook,aiming to introduce,analyze and summarize the translation procedure to fulfill the task.The target readers are laboratory engineers and operators and the translation purpose is to let engineers and operators familiar with the Polyolefin analytical training materials and provide them with a correct way of operating laboratory devices.The translation report has five parts,including introduction,pre-translation preparation,theoretical preparation,translation solutions and conclusion.The introduction demonstrates report background,report significance and task description.The pre-translation part first explains client requirements,translation process design and technical preparation,wherein the technical preparation includes translation tools,parallel texts and related terms.The theoretical preparation introduces the Skopos theory,analyzes extra-textual and intra-textual factors,and illustrates especially translation standard and principles.As for translation solutions,the author will analyze the examples from the perspectives of lexicon,sentence and style.The conclusion part tries to reflect the translation task and summarizes advantages and shortages.
