This report is based on the author's consecutive interpreting experience of Temperature Bolus Project in livestock husbandry industry from March to May in 2017.In this task,the author served as an interpreter as well as the project manager from Huayi Company.She made preparations for business interpreting and selected part of the recording to analyze the impact of pre-task preparations on the author's performance under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory.This report consists of six chapters.In Chapter One,background information of the project,process of preparations and features of consecutive interpreting are introduced.Chapter Two reviews the relevant literature on the Interpretive Theory and further explains Triangular Model of the Interpretive Theory.In Chapter Three,the author combines theory with practice,elaborating on how vocabulary,client's intention and requirement,and shared information influence the author's comprehension,deverbalization and reformulation respectively.In Chapter Four,the author goes on to analyze problems which occurred during interpreting process and provides corresponding solutions.Chapter Five deals with some feedback from the clients,and the author's self-reflection both as an interpreter and the project manager.The last chapter is the conclusion of this report,in which the author not only affirms the significance of pre-task preparations but also admits that language proficiency and business competence are not negligible.
