Purpose:The Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale(K-DOCS)is a domain-specific self-assessing creativity questionnaire composing five broad domains:Self/Everyday,Schoarly,Performance(encompassing writing and music),Mechanical/Scientific,Artistic.The current studies examine that the K-DOCS has good reliability and factor structure.Revising a Chinese version of K-DOCS for high school students can enrich the creativity theory and develop the mesurement of creativity domains across culture.Methods:Do interview among high school students to check the practicability of Chinese version K-DOCS and delete those not match with the actual.Students from three high schools(N=800)completed the K-DOCS.After item analysis,exploratory factor analysis(EFA),29 items were retained with the same factors as the US version.Then used confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)to analyze the 29 items.At the same time,used the overall sample to test the internal consistency and split reliability.After one and a half months checked the test-retest reliability(N=37).This study also used other-assessment method to establish validation evidence.Results:EFA of the revised Chinese version explained54.911%of the variance through a 29-item,5-factor structure(F1=Self/Everyday,F2=Schoarly,F3=Performance,F4=Mechanical/Scientific,F5=Artistic).4 items changed from Schoarly(F2)to Self/Everyday(F1)due to culture differences.Cronbach's alpha coefficients were 0.839,0.737,0.817,0.794,0.757,Split-half coefficients were 0.793,0.761,0.782,0.767,0.771.Test-retest results were 0.964,0.982,0.996,0.981,0.982.CFA of Chinese version K-DOCS for high school students had satisfying fit index of modified model(?~2/df=2.048,CFI=0.904,RMSEA=0.051,NNFI=0.830,IFI=0.905,TLI=0.891).The testing results of K-DOCS highly related to the results of other-assessment for the 21 students as criterion-related validity.Conclusions:The revised K-DOCS Chinese version for high school students has 5 factors which were consistent with past research.It includes 29 items with good reliability and validity.Further research demonstrates that the characteristics of gender differences in creativity domains of Chinese high school students present a consistent with college students,namely boys in the domain of mechanical/scientific creativity significantly better than girls,yet girls'performance in the domain of art are significantly superior than boys.There's significant difference between Grade 1 and Grade 3 in Performing domain,and significant difference both with Grade 2 and Grade 3 in Machanical/Scientific domain.There is only one significant difference in the domain of art between ordinary school and key school.
