This paper describes one simulated consecutive interpreting task on a speech delivered by Jack Ma at the 1st World Internet Conference.Guided by the interpretive theory, the interpreter conducts a case study of key problems encountered in the practice. There are four chapters in this paper. The first chapter introduces the background of the task, task preparation and the task process. The second chapter discusses the interpretive theory. The third chapter is the case study, also the central part of this report, including 10 cases. In combination with interpretive theory, the interpreter analyzes the problems encountered in this task from the following five dimensions:loose sentence, information redundancy, logic error, composition incompleteness and culture disparity. The fourth chapter is the conclusion.Through the interpretation of the speech, the interpreter summarizes ways to improve interpreting skills.
