An Interpretation Practice Report Of The Exchange Meeting Of Investment Cooperation Between Chongqing And Countries Along The Belt And Road

Under the background of the Belt and Road initiative,the Exchange Meeting of Investment and Cooperation between Chongqing and Countries along the Belt and Road was held in June 28 th,2017.This meeting aims to enhance international cooperation and cultural exchanges between enterprises of Chongqing and those of countries along the Belt and Road.This thesis is a practice report of a Chinese-English consecutive interpreting task undertaken by the author for the Exchange Meeting.The thesis discusses the introduction to the interpreting task,preparation,procedures,evaluation and feedback.Under the guidance of Daniel Gile's Effort Model,the author selects some cases from the speeches delivered on the meeting,analyzes both linguistic and extra-linguistic factors affecting the quality of interpretation and proposes solutions to the problems.By analyzing key cases under the guidance of Gile's Effort Model,some solutions to improve the quality of consecutive interpreting are put forward in this thesis.The author hopes that this report can provide some insights for interpreting teaching,student interpreters and relevant interpretation studies.
