A Translation Report Of Project Labor Agreement

This is a translation report on Project Labor Agreement which is signed and concluded between the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Orange County Building and Construction Trades Council.This agreement sets forth the rights and obligations between contractors and labors and provides the relevant procedures and specific measures for the resolution of labor disputes.In the translation report,the author firstly introduces the main contents of Project Labor Agreement and the translation process of this agreement,and elaborates the significance of this report.Next,the author mainly explores the translation techniques of lexical gaps and long sentences in Project Labor Agreement.In the translation of lexical gap,the author uses the translation techniques including free translation,transliteration,and annotation.In the translation of long sentence,the author adopts the translation techniques like sequential translation,reverse translation,division and synthesized translation.At last,the author concludes the translation experiences and points out some deficiencies in the process of translation.
