| This report is based on the consecutive interpretation of a TV talk show Dialogue"Improving the Brand Image of Made in China" from CCTV2.The goal of the report is to present the problems in consecutive interpreting and the solutions that the author takes.In this episode,three famous entrepreneurs Dong Mingzhu,Li Ning and Yu Chengdong were invited to talk about Made in China,Chinese consumption and their international branding strategies.The report contains five parts:task descriptions,process descriptions,case study,the introduction to the interpretive theory and conclusion.In the first part,the author introduces the background information,reasons for selecting task and features of material.In the second part,the author describes the work process,including the preparation of the background information,terminologies about economy and technology,tools,the interpretation process as well as the work of post-interpreting.In the third part,the author introduces background of the interpretive theory,three stages of the interpretive theory,sense units.In the fourth part,the author analyses typical cases.According to the Interpretive Theory,the author analyses the problems in consecutive interpreting and uses the related skills to solve the problems.The fifth part is the conclusion and some suggestions. |
