A Project Report On The Interpretation Of The Football Elite Training Camp Of The Football Association Of Nanjing

China has put a new premium on the development of campus football in recent years,which has given rise to the frequent external exchanges of campus football and the increasing demand for the talents of football English interpreting and translation.The reporter served as the interpreter for the Football Elite Training Camp of the Football Association of Nanjing from August to October in 2017.Major difficulties the reporter had encountered are mainly as follows:first,the lack of professional knowledge of football;second,unreasonable time distribution in understanding and note-taking;third,the differences of the foreign coaches in their speaking style,speed and English proficiency increased the difficulty for the understanding of the reporter.Therefore the reporter proposes corresponding measures for these difficulties and problems through careful research on the transcript of the interpreting record and the study of the "Effort Models"and "Understanding,Memory,and Expression" proposed by Professor Li Changshuan.The corresponding measures includes:enriching the background knowledge of football,allocating the time and energy between comprehension and note-taking,strengthening exchanges with foreign coaches and so on.This report is based on the analysis and summary of the authentic materials of the project,and the reporter hopes this report could have referential value for sports interpreters.
