This study explored the relationship between junior high school students' life stress,coping style and mental health,and their relationship.Life stress refers to the pressure from all aspects of life.Coping style refers to the adjustment and change of the cognitive behavior in order to solve this problem when the individual thinks that the interaction with the outside world may increase the burden of its own.Mental health refers to all aspects of psychology and the process of activities in a good or normal state.Mental health is a manifestation of a person's good psychological quality and a necessary part of his overall health.Life stress and coping style often have some influence on mental health.The main use of questionnaire survey is Liu Xianchen's self rating scale(ASLEC),Zheng Quanquan and Chen Shulin's write "the scale of coping style of middle school students",and Wang Jisheng's "the mental health scale of middle school students in China".The subjects were selected from three schools in Tianjin,from 7 to9 grades respectively.A total of 302 questionnaires were distributed and 273 effective questionnaires were collected,with an effective rate of 90.4%.According to the research findings,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Interpersonal relationship and learning pressure are the main stressors of junior high school students.(2)There was no significant grade difference in life stress among junior middle school students,but gender differences were significant,and boys' stress was significantly higher than that of girls.(3)Junior middle school students adopt more problem-solving methods,seek social support and actively rationalize coping styles.(4)There is no significant difference in coping style between boys and girls,that is.the coping styles of boys and girls are basically the same.(5)The mental state of junior high school students is basically good,and there is no difference between male and female students.(6)Junior high school students' life stress and coping style have a predictive effect on mental health.Then some suggestions about education and teaching are pult forward for reference by the school.
