| From 2017,June 15th to 17th,the first Chukula Coffee Forum was held at a church of Chukula village in Binchuan county,Dali prfecture.Hosted by Specialty Coffee Association of Yunnan Province and supported by the People's Government of Binchuan County,this grand event attracted experts and scholars from more than 6countries.Driven by the charming coffee,they delivered speeches covering coffee history in Chukula,coffee genetic diversity in Chukula,cafémarketing around the world,coffee sharing and tasting and specialty coffee cultivation.The forum has intrinsically academic value and it serves as a promotion channel for specialty coffee in Chukula to develop tourism of the county.The author,as a simultaneous interpreter for this forum coped with various occasions and emergencies during the forum which required the adaptability and flexibility of the interpreter.The author managed to conclude the interpretation task and write this report on her experience from the forum.This report is composed of five chapters,which illustrate the author's task in details.The first chapter demonstrates guests'speeches and interpretation of the author.The second chapter introduces the source of interpreting task and content and analyzes its characteristics.The third chapter presents interpreting process,including preparation and implementation,in which emergency plans and response strategies are laid out.The fourth chapter is case studies.Examples from the author's interpretation are demonstrated with the application of theories and strategies in interpreting.The last chapter includes evaluation of performance from various perspectives and enlightenment from this task. |
