The translator was commissioned by Baoding Cambridge kindergarten to translate Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 of a preschool teaching reference book Preschool Readers and Writers. This practice report summarizes the translation strategies and methods used in the specific cases in detail. The practice report is divided into five parts: task description, process description, translation preparation, case analyses and practice summary. The first chapter introduces the source of the task, the content of the task, the requirements of the task and the completion of the task. The second chapter is the description of the translation process, including the detail confirmation with employer and the final revision process. The third chapter briefly introduces the translation tools used in translation, parallel texts collection and the characteristics analysis of the source text. The fourth chapter is the core of this practice report, that is how the translator combines the Tytler's three principles of translation with practice cases and how the translator adjusted word order or added words to translation or changed the part of speech on the basis of context during the process of translation so as to make the translation faithful and smooth. The fifth chapter is the conclusion of translation, which includes not only the experiences of the practice report but also further understanding of the entire translation industry. It also makes the translator realize that the process of translation is not only the simple conversion of words or sentences, but also the translator's subjective initiative to make the translation closer to perfection.
