With the development of globalization,China has more and more contacts with the world,which requires the accurate communication and exchange of information between countries.News is a representative information text,which is the most direct and convenient way to disseminate information and promote communication between different countries and nationalities.In order to understand the latest developments at home and abroad,people read a variety of news every day.News is almost an inseparable part of our daily life.The translation and research of English news is also receiving more and more attention.The translation of English news is like a bridge to build a good platform for Chinese readers to understand the wor-ld.Therefore,the translation of English news has important research value and practical significance.This paper is about the research and guidance of Skopos Theory on news translation.Through the analysis of specific cases in the process of news translation during the internship of China Daily,the author discusses specific solutions in the paper.This paper analysis the content and language characteristics of news texts and uses Skopos Theory as the theoretical support.Through the study of Skopos Theory,and through the analysis of translation strategies of English news translation into Chinese.Proves the rationality and applicability of Skopos Theory in today's English news translation practice.This paper also points out the limitations of its own research and expects that successors will continue to maintain the enthusiasm and perseverance of translation studies,make more research achievements in English news translation,and continuously improve the quality of English news translation.
