As flagship species in natural ecological system,Siberian tigers and Panthera leopards are critically endangered and can only be traced in Heilongjiang and Jilin Provinces, northeast of China due to the shrinking habitats and diminishing preys.Against such a backdrop,it does make sense to expose the public to the subsistence states of the Siberian tigers and Panthera leopards and to appeal all parties to carry out timely discussions and relevant researches. This practice report is composed on the basis of a simulated consecutive interpretation of an online interview, which titled To Promote Pilot Construction of National Park for Strengthening Protection of Siberian Tigers and Panthera Leopards from the official website of Jilin Provincial Government. The simulated interpretation on this material avails the author of an excellent opportunity to contribute to the national wildlife conservation and the construction of ecological civilization.Such an endeavor can also help raise foreign friends' awareness of wildlife protection and call for them to join in China's protection campaign on Siberian tigers and Panthera leopards. This report,as a reflective practice report, focuses on analyzing two major problems the interpreter encountered in the simulated C-E consecutive interpretation.Figure is the first problem that the author wants to address.Figure interpretation has long been a hurdle for interpreters while considerable figures are applied to depict the present survival situation of Siberian tigers and Panthera leopards in the source text. This report is a summarization of coping strategies according to interpreter's practical problems in figure interpreting. The second problem is the loss of information.Timeliness and promptness of the interpretation present much more possibilities of missing some information.Hence the author analyzes the reasons for problems and figures out corresponding countermeasures,in the hope that it can offer some tentative suggestions to other interpretation practices.
