With the development of society,Chinese popular vocabulary has also been produced and entered every aspect of the daily life of the Chinese people,reflecting the characteristics of the Chinese culture and reflecting the spirit and features of the contemporary Chinese.popular vocabulary not only affect people's daily communication,but also affect the developing of teaching Chinese as the second language.By learning Chinese popular vocabulary,it is helpful to improve the Chinese learners' ability to use Chinese in a comprehensive way,to meet the needs of communication,and to understand the national conditions and culture of contemporary China through language.It is found that Chinese teachers usually have a positive attitude towards the teaching of popular vocabulary in the teaching,and the vocabulary of the popular language is quite like the common Chinese vocabulary table in the general curriculum for international Chinese teaching.However,the popular vocabulary is very low in the current Chinese textbooks,and the specific methods of popular vocabulary teaching are still being explored.Therefore,this article explores the teaching principles of popular vocabulary in TCSL,and demonstrates the specific methods of catchwords teaching through examples and lesson planspopular vocabulary teaching should adhere to the following principles:first,we should carefully select the teaching content;second,we must adhere to the principle of practicality;third,we must adhere to the principle of scientific.At the same time,Chinese vocabulary teaching should be closely linked to the syllabus and the contents of textbooks.The specific methods of teaching popular vocabulary in TCSL should be combined with different courses,textbooks and students' Chinese level.Situational teaching method,by introducing specific life scenes is to stimulate students' interest in learning and help them understand the meaning and usage of popular language.Morpheme teaching method is more suitable for teaching popular vocabulary made up of multiple morphemes.The meaning and nature of the morphemes are analyzed with morphemes as the breakthrough point,to promote the students' gradual accumulation of language points.With thematic teaching method,based on topic and content,students acquire the language through putting popular vocabulary into a certain situation or life theme.This method emphasizes the combination of language and real life,and keeps a balance between the students' input and output of a language.
