A Translation Project Report On TRADE POLICY REVIEW(Excerpts)

This is an English-Chinese translation project report on Trade Policy Review of political and economic field,which was drawn up by the WTO Secretariat.The report aims firstly,to identify the common problems in the economic translation;secondly,to probe the most suitable translation technique and literary style for political economic documents based on the text typology and communicative translation theory.This report consists of five parts.The first chapter gives an overview of the translation project,including its brief introduction,objective,significance and structure.The second chapter is concerned with translation process,the theoretical framework of this report,mainly resorting to theories related to Text Typology and Communicative Translation,and the preparatory work before translation.The third chapter focuses on difficulties and strategies of the translation.The last part concludes the enlightenment gained and problems to be solved.
