For the purpose of deepening cultural exchanges between China and South Asian countries and promoting the localization of Chinese language teachers,Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban launches the Confucius Institute Scholarship:Professional Development for Chinese Language Teachers in South Asian Countries in 2015.In 2016,Henan University became one of the universities in the project.In February 2017,the author was fortunate to be the listening teacher of Pakistani students.In one year of part-time teaching,the author collected a large number of errors in Chinese characters writing of Pakistani students.After analyzing various errors,we discuss the causes of the errors and put forward the corresponding teaching and learning suggestions.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the domestic scholars' research on the teaching of Chinese characters and the analysis of the foreign students' writing errors.It also points out the theoretical basis of this paper.The second part introduces the research object,corpus source and statistical methods of this article,and briefly explains the overall situation of the writing errors of Pakistani students.The third part is to analyze the Chinese character bias of Pakistani students,mainly from strokes,components,structures,and malapropism.According to the analysis of the errors,the main errors of the students in the primary stage are concentrated in the strokes;the errors in the intermediate stage are mainly concentrated on the components.The fourth part analyzes the causes of Chinese writing errors from five aspects,such as the negative transfer of mother tongue,complexity of Chinese characters,students themselves,teaching and pronunciation.On the basis of analyzing these reasons,relevant suggestions were put forward from three aspects: Chinese characters,teaching methods and learners.The worth of this paper lies in the fact that the first academic circles have less research on Chinese characters for Pakistani students.The corpus of the second research has certain research value for the original corpus.The third is to analyze the various errors of Pakistani students in different periods from a diachronic perspective.It is hoped that this study can analyze all kinds of errors more accurately,find out the commonness,and put forward reasonable teaching Suggestions,and we are hoped that this study can be helpful to the study of Chinese character writing of Pakistani students.
