With the further advancement of globalization,countries are increasingly connected in the field of ecological environment.As a medium and bridge for ecological exchanges,the importance of C-E translation in forestry is self-evident.The long sentences in the forestry text are difficult to translate in English.Therefore,the high quality English translation will directly affect the smooth progress of forestry exchange between China and the worldBased on the author's translation practice and Nida's functional equivalence theory,by comparing the differences between Chinese and English sentence patterns,this report focuses on the difficulty of the English translation of the provincial forestry overviews—C-E translation of long sentences.On the basis of this,the report summarizes the corresponding translation methods.The report falls into four chapters.Mainly by introducing the characteristics of the original text of the project,it analyzes the difficulties in the process of English translation.This report is based on Nida's functional equivalence theory.By comparing the differences between Chinese and English in terms of sentences and combining the reading habits of English readers,this paper summarizes four commonly used translation methods,aiming at improving the quality of English translation of forestry texts,and hope to help in this field in the future research.
