The Other Analysis Of Jia Zhangke's Movies

Jia Zhangke,as the leader of the new generation directors in China,shows different film concepts from the "fifth generation".He insists on the true face of the film to show people's survival experience,whether in the theme of the film,symbolic metaphor or narrative style,has obvious otherness,which is attributed to his position of "being responsible for others"..This paper analyzes Jia Zhangke's films from the perspective of the other theory.Firstly,it outlines Jia Zhangke's identity as an "intruder" in Chinese films,which makes it possible to compare the heterogeneous features of later texts.Secondly,from the description of the identity of the characters in the film,it analyzes the bottom,the edge,and the living conditions of the other women.Then,starting from the symbolic metaphor of images,this paper further points out that the film implies and metaphors the plight of the other,whether it is the adjustment of photography and scenes,the spatial image or the elements of violence.Starting from the narrative techniques of the film,this paper reveals that the director's "intention" of such narrative is to create conditions for "I" to identify with and approach the other.Behind these other images is Jia Zhangke's position of being responsible for others,which is of practical significance.His every shot is full of respect and care for others,telling us one after another ordinary and real life experience,showing a forever humanistic care for the purpose of the film world,let us feel the joy and heaviness of each life.
