A Study On The Pause And Link Skills In The Commentary Of A Bite Of China

By watching A Bite of China many times and referring to the research status about it,the writer finds out that most of studies on the its Commentary are about the researchers' sensory descriptions,without enough scientific evidence to testify the characteristic of the Commentary This thesis starts the research with pause and link skills,measures the samples of different modules,including the speed,the time of long and short pause,frequency,and concludes the using types and application situation of pause and link skills,which shows their characteristic by using data.In this paper,the study aims to draw the usage of pause and link skills in the Commentary of A Bite of China.And this thesis analyzes the time,location and frequency of pause and link skills in the three different modules by building text corpus,voice video database and using speech software.At last,by comparing A Bite of China with other TV programs,the study works out the pause and link patterns in three modules,including the introducing pattern in the importing module,The multi-factor pattern in the narrating module and the slow pattern in the concluding module.At the same time,according to the using function,location and time of the pause and link skills,this study arrives at their types and sort their frequency of usage in the Commentary.By concluding the usage characteristics of the pause and link skills in the Commentary of A Bite of China,we can provide data and theory evidences for explaining the Commentary.
