Greeting is the behavior of both parties in communication in order to create a good communication atmosphere,increase emotional ties and maintain friendly relations.It is the beginning of communication and is related to the smooth progress of communication.This paper divides greetings into greeting greetings,interrogative greetings and exclamation greetings for analysis,and designs a questionnaire according to the use of various greetings in different situations by different communication objects.The survey objects are Chinese junior high school students from the Railway College of Central South University and Changsha Medical College.Then,according to the survey results,the paper studies the mastery of greetings of foreign students and analyzes the causes of errors.Finally,it puts forward teaching suggestions based on the actual situation.This article is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction,which explains the reason,significance,contents and methods of the topic,and summarizes the previous researches on greetings and the acquisition of Chinese learners.The second part is to define and classify Chinese greetings.Firstly,the definitions of greetings,greetings and greetings are made clear and the relationship between them is defined.Secondly,it is pointed out that Chinese greetings have the functions of communication and topicopening,and are characterized by timeliness,flexibility,objectivity and interactive concern.Finally,greetings are divided into three types :greeting,interrogative and exclamation.The third part is the questionnaire design and analysis.This article uses the form of questionnaire survey,first of all clear the purpose of the survey and the survey objects,to investigate and study the use of greetings of foreign students studying in Changsha,and then make statistical analysis according to the survey results.To study the acquisition characteristics of foreign students' greetings.The fourth part is to study and analyze the performance of foreign students' greetings.The wrong use of greetings by foreign students reflects their mastery of greetings.According to the results of the survey,the mistakes of greeting for overseas students are manifested as: unable to choose the appropriate address,unclear scope of application of " hello",stylized greeting,not using interrogative greeting,not knowing how to respond to some greetings,etc.Based on the analysis of the causes of errors in greetings for foreign students,this paper summarizes the causes such as the neglect of classroom teaching,the interference of culture on target language learners,the influence of conservative psychology on the use of greetings,and the pragmatic errors caused by generalization.The fifth part is the suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire and drawingrelevant conclusions,the article puts forward three suggestions for greeting teaching.Teachers should clarify the classification principles of greetings,show the situations in which greetings appear when teaching greetings,and attach importance to the teaching of interrogative greetings.
