A Report On The Mock C-E Interpretation Of The Film Release Of Operation Red Sea Under The Guidance Of Interpretive Theory

With the continuous development of globalization and the rapid development of the film industry under China's strong overall national strength,it's more and more important for film industry to go out,which necessarily means the conversion of language.Film release is the most common way to advertise a film and attract more people to watch it.Therefore,there will be an increasing need for interpreters to conduct film release interpreting.The study of the film release interpreting will not only be beneficial to promote and spread the Chinese culture but also can help the interpreter to continuously improve the practical ability in the same type of conference.Therefore,the author has selected the film release of the film Operation Red Sea to conduct the consecutive interpreting practice and explored the guidance effect of the Interpretive Theory for the interpreting practice.In the report,firstly,the author introduces the background of the task and report,and the objectives and significance of the report.Secondly,the related terms have been collected and the features of the original interpreting text have been analyzed so that the interpreting practice can be smoothly conducted.Thirdly,after making literature review,the definition and development of the Interpretive Theory at home and abroad has been described.Then under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,the author has conducted detailed cases analysis about the logical coherence phenomenon she has encountered in interpreting and corresponding coping strategies.At last,the report summarizes some findings of the practice and also points out some limitations of the practice.In the practice report,the author has found that:(1)during the film release interpreting,there are several factors which lead to the disorder of the logical coherence,namely,redundancy,broken sentences and repetition of the speakers.However,under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,the problems are easier to deal with;(2)The different expressing habits between Chinese and English have big influence on interpreters,so interpreters should practice more to learn how to flexibly deal with the distinct expressing habits;(3)listening,memory,knowledge reserve and note-taking ability also influence the whole interpreting quality.As a result,interpreters should practice interpreting as much as possible for the different kinds of interpreting materials and also enlarge knowledge reserve.The study is aimed at finding out the logical coherence problems in the film release interpreting and then exploring the corresponding solutions under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,which may be helpful for the research of this field in the future.At the same time,the author hopes to improve the ability in taking notes,memorizing and other interpreting skills through the practice.
