Today in the 21 st century,more and more people in the world learn Chinese,which is inseparable from the rise of China's economy and the improvement of its international status.The use value of Chinese language continues to increase,many countries have incorporated Chinese into the national education system.Indonesia is no exception,but it is limited to high school curriculum.Indonesia has the largest Chinese community,and its Chinese education has been in crisis for several times.It has now entered a turning point and will face even greater challenges.However,there are still many difficulties and problems in the principles and direction of Indonesian Chinese education since the recovery.It is urgent for us to explore research and find countermeasures.This article is based on 392 local Chinese teachers in 25 provinces and cities in Indonesia,as well as 951 volunteer Chinese teachers who had taught in 17 provinces and cities in Indonesia from the year 2004 to 2017,including the gender,age,education,professional and teaching units and other information,as the basis for investigation and analysis.A sample survey was conducted to study working situation of 150 local Chinese teachers,including teaching age,professional loyalty,type of teaching unit,kinds of teaching,one-week Chinese class,one hour class of payment,monthly salary,the situation of teaching,the theories of teaching,teachers' Chinese knowledge,knowledge and teaching of Chinese culture,teaching exchanges between colleagues,the attitude of the school to Chinese teaching,and the suggestions of local Chinese teachers for teaching Chinese.In addition,The working situation of 32 volunteer Chinese teachers who are posted in Indonesia during the 2018 to 2019 academic year was investigated,including age,type of teaching unit,the last education and major,Chinese teacher qualification certificate,one-week Chinese class,the theory of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,knowledge and teaching of Chinese culture,the situation of teaching,What factors affect Chinese teaching,teaching exchange between local Chinses teachers,and the suggestions of volunteer Chinese teachers for teaching Chinese.The continued development of Chinese education in Indonesia is inseparable from Chinese teaching workers,and it is more inseparable from local Chinese teachers.Therefore It is necessary to make full use of local Chinese teachers,develop local teaching materials,and innovate local teaching methods,and continuously promote the development of Chinese language education in Indonesia.This article mainly focuses on four aspects: first,the investigation and analysis of the work of Local Chinese teachers;second,the investigation and analysis of the work of volunteer Chinese teachers who are posted in Indonesia;third,the future development direction of local Chinese teachers;fourth,the suggestions for improvement for future development direction of the volunteer Chinese teachers who are posted in Indonesia.We will make some suggestions on the above issues and hope to contribute to the Chinese education in Indonesia.
