On Translation Accuracy Of Financial Reports From English To Chinese

Financial reports,also known as "financial accounting reports",are written documents that reflect the company's financial status and operating results,including balance sheets,income statements,cash flow statements,etc.With the globalization of the economy and the continuous advancement of "the Belt and Road"(B&R),international economic cooperation has been continuously strengthened.Accounting English,an important bridge of international business communication,its importance has become increasingly prominent,which puts forward higher requirements for financial texts translation.The translation of financial reports is not just simple transition between the two kinds of languages,but also a transformation of business information.If the information is inaccurate,it will lead to serious economic losses.Therefore,the accurate translation of financial texts is of great significance both in language and economy.Based on Reiss' text typology,the current situation of translation studies under the guidance of text typology are summarized in this study.At the same time,the stylistic features of financial reports and the accuracy principle of translation are analyzed.In translation practice,text type must be accurately judged at first to adopt appropriate translation methods according to the characteristics of the text.Finally,based on the perspective of text typology,the specific translation methods for ensuring the accuracy of financial reports are analyzed combined with translation cases.In terms of vocabulary,it mainly focuses on literal translation,the traditional and moden search methods,free translation,corresponding translation,back-translation,and words extension are used specifically.In regard to sentences,voice conversion method,translating into explicit passivity in Chinese,adding the subject are used in passive sentences translation.As for long sentences,sequential method,division and inversion,etc are used flexibly.On the processing of figure and forms,precise correspondence and format conversion methods are adopted respectively.The above methods aim to provide experience for financial reports translation.
