The New Chinese Proficiency Test has always been popular as an international standardized test to investigate the Chinese proficiency level of native non-Chinese speakers.And research on its vocabulary has been increasing in recent years.In addition,the position of function word teaching in vocabularies teaching is also rising obviously,especially the teaching of modal adverbs in function words,which is the important and difficult point of the teachers and students,meanwhile the grammar circles also paid their attention to it.On this basis,this paper selects 30 sets of new Chinese proficiency test questions in 2018 and makes exhaustive statistics on the modal adverbs examined in the test questions.A total of 29 modal adverbs were counted on the condition that the modal adverbs were not repeated.In this paper,the 29 modal verbs as the research subjects,they are classified and analyzed based on the former scholars' studies about the classification of modal verbs that showed in the text.According to its results,this paper has a comparative comprehension between the syllabus of the“New Chinese Proficiency Test Outline”and the modal adverbs in the comprehensive teaching materials of Chinese as a foreign language,then the shortcomings of the compilation of modal adverbs in the real questions and textbooks also been summarized.Lastly,some corresponding suggestions has been put forward to promote the application ion of modal adverbs in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language to a higher level.The paper is divided into three parts: introduction,subject and conclusion.First,the introduction mainly introduces the reasons,research objectives,research significance and research status.The research status mainly includes the questions about the definition standard and how to classify the modal adverbs,as well as the function of modal adverbs and the study of individual modal adverbs.In order to make it easier for the examinee to understand the specific semantics and usage of the modal adverbs in the real questions.And then on the basis of the statistics of the number of mood adverbs and the“New HSK Examination Syllabus ”and the “Development of Chinese” comprehensive textbooks corresponding to the comparative analysis of mood adverbs,so as to find the deficiency of mood adverbs in the investigation of real problems and the compilation of teaching materials.At last,some concrete suggestions for improvement are put forward mainly in view of the deficiency of the real topic and the textbook on the preparation of modal adverbs and suggestions of mood adverbs in teaching.The conclusion part mainly summarizes the whole article and points out the shortcomings of the article.
