With the development of globalization, international cooperation has become increasingly frequent.China is playing an ever more important role in the international arena which makes interpreting activity an indispensable part when it comes to cross-cultural communication.Given that interpretation usually covers various fields, some relevant requirements concerning the quality of interpreting and knowledge reserve of interpreters are put forward. The Interpretative Theory was proposed by the Paris School.Under the guidance of this theory, this paper aims to explore the problems encountered by the author in the process of interpretation. This theory suggests that the interpreting includes three procedures: “comprehending”,“deverbalization” and “re-expression”.It provides the author with strong theoretical support in terms of analyzing the interpretation practice. The author met many challenges when interpreting, and was stuck in dealing with terminologies,cultural-loaded words for lack of bilingual transferring ability and re-expression capability. This paper suggests that “comprehending”,“deverbalization”and “re-expression” are key measures to deal with the above problems. The author probed into interpretation approaches including reorganization, explanation, localization and cognitive supplementation, all of which can help interpreter to alleviate the burden and improve the quality of interpretation. This paper discusses the detailed application of the Interpretive Theory from the perspective of lexical, syntactical and textual levels and summarizes the limitations of this paper.Meanwhile, relevant suggestions are put forward for future studies. The author hopes that this paper throws some light on the application of the Interpretative Theory. It is the author's wish that this paper would help other interpreters better comprehend this theory and provide reference and inspiration for future research.
