In recent years, telling Chinese stories well to present China to the world in a comprehensive manner has increasingly been most media workers'responsibility. The English news produced by Guangdong Radio and Television?GRT?aims to spread Guangdong's voice to more foreign audiences. To achieve this end,Chinese-English news trans-editing has played a key role. The author has a four-month internship at GRT from June 9th,2019 to October 20th.During the internship, the author is responsible for trans-editing news from Chinese to English.Based on the trans-editing practice, the report covers a detailed introduction of the author's internship and trans-editing tasks.Guided by the modern stylistic analysis, the author conducts a detailed stylistic analysis of GRT news from the perspective of its language, text layout, and context factors, which helps the author to spot its simple but formal style. Also, the report focuses on the problems in trans-editing practice including trans-editing figures, long sentences, and texts.Based on the stylistic analysis of GRT news, the report introduces a variety of trans-editing techniques including information deletion and restructuring to produce a target text that conforms to the style of GRT news.Besides, the author has found that with the advent of media convergence,GRT news is not merely traditional radio news.It now shares the stylistic features of both radio news and print news. Also, the report covers the author's reflection on her internship.Hopefully, her experience and strategies can offer useful information to news trans-editing learners.
