| Interpretation is a task that requires high immediacy,making it easy for translators to misinterpret,and misinterpretation during interpreting is unavoidable.If there are too many misinterpretations,it will inevitably affect the quality of the interpretation and affect the audience's understanding of the original context.Therefore,reducing the occurrence of misinterpretation is one of the ways to effectively improve the effect of interpretation.This thesis takes mock conference——“President Xi's speech at the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum in 2017” as an example,dividing misinterpretation into two levels,namely,misinterpretation related to vocabulary and text structure.The two levels are then divided into different kinds of detailed phenomenon,namely,inaccurate use of words,incorrect collocation of words,incorrect interpretation of fixed expressions,improper interpretation of idioms and proverbs,inaccurate interpretation caused by dense information and incorrect interpretation of logical relations.Detailed examples and methods of modification are given for each situation as well.Finally,different solutions are also given based on the two levels. |
