The Practical Research Of Urban Ethnic Work

The ethnical problem is an unavoidable part of the social issue,which affects communication,interaction and harmonious blending in Chinese 56 groups to a certain extent.Especially,the social population begins to extremely migrate under the effect of social-system transformation,economic situation and national strategy.A large number of Minorities whom migrate to city are involved in open and free market as a significantly economic element,what they get better service,manage and realize good development is the unavoidable subject for the ethno-national work in our country.Therefore,the urban ethno-national work is more and more critical.This treatise consisted of 5 chapter vividly illustrates the present problems of urban ethno-national work and the internal relationship of unique experience each in five cities,including Guangzhou,Guiyang,Chongqing,Kunming and Jinan.The preface primarily talks two topics.Firstly,it gives many reasons for selecting this topic about the practical research of urban ethno-national work and its scientific value.Secondly,the research methods and the general overview on urban ethno-national work since 1987 s are lined up in this part.Chapter one mainly talks what is the urban ethno-national work.Besides,this part also analyzes the new property and characteristic of urban ethno-national work in the new era on the fundament of former studies.Chapter two mainly talks the origin of the urban ethno-national work and the regional transformation of ethno-national issue.As we know,Chinese cities have been developing fast since 1978.So,the ethnic issues are also changing from minorities concentrated region to eastern and coastal areas,and from rural to urban societies.This processing is not rather unilinear transfer from west to east than multipoint evolution in every city promoted the development of the urban ethnic work.Chapter three talks about the practical experience of the urban ethno-national work with Chinese characteristics,elaborating the practical experiences of five citiesand its interlocking and internal relationship.It offers a common reference for other cities.There are tough problems,challenges and countermeasures talked about the new era of urban ethnic work in the last chapter.In the past,there is no denying that the problems,such as,the cooperation absent of functional department,the disjunction between material and spiritual,the difficulty of life-supply etc,are left in the basket.We are facing great challenges including the live-require of foreign ethnic groups,the unreasonable behavior of pursuit benefit using ethnical identity and the needs for better life of the floating minorities.Therefore,I put forward some suggestions for these problems and challenges that contribute to promote the modernization of the governance capacity of urban ethno-national affairs and the governance system.
