| After 40 years of reform and opening-up,China’s total economic volume and social civilization have developed rapidly,urbanization and modernization have made considerable progress,and Chinese traditional family structure has gradually broken the original pattern under the influence of emerging culture and other factors.A large number of empty nests emerge in the city,which brings more and more social problems,and becomes a special group that the whole society should pay more attention to.The urban empty nest elderly not only have to face the pressure from the outside,such as the increasingly different level of science and technology,the unequal distribution of social resources,but also the changes in the lifestyle and the mode of coexistence among members brought about by the changes in the family structure.These factors affect the behavior of members of the empty nest family.The way,to a certain extent,interferes with the original family relationship,even serious will lead to family contradictions or even fierce conflicts,and further aggravate the severity of the empty nest phenomenon.The report of the 17 th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that "efforts should be made to ensure the security of all the people and promote the construction of a harmonious society," and the report of the 18 th CPC National Congress continued to point out that "new progress has been made on the basis of security for the elderly." Therefore,it is inevitable to pay more attention to the empty nest elderly,study the inter-generational relationship of the empty nest elderly family,and promote the healthy and orderly development of the empty nest elderly in order to accelerate the construction of the harmonious society.How can empty nest elderly people be indifferent to their children? What effect will the interaction between the two sides have on the empty-nest elderly? How should social work help empty-nest families with disharmonious inter-generational relationships create a good and comfortable family atmosphere? These problems will be the focus of this paper.Through on-the-spot investigation,this paper analyzes the changes of inter-generational relationship among urban empty-nest elderly families,and makes a deep analysis of the causes of such changes.Under the basic situation of the inter-generational change of empty nest family,the representative family is selected as the case service object,adhering to the professional value concept of social work,using rational emotional therapy mode,using the case work specialized.We should intervene in the inter-generational conflicts between the empty-nest elderly and their children,help the empty-nest elderly and their children clear up their irrational emotions,change the way of communication in the past,establish correct ideas,eliminate inter-generational friction,and shape a warm and loving family atmosphere.Improve the function of family life.Finally,on the basis of on-the-spot investigation and theoretical analysis,it is proved that case work can effectively improve the inter-generational relationship of the empty nest elderly,and that the role of social workers should be the coordinator,should be all-round,multiple-factor analysis of inter-generational relations;In practice,the practicality and professionalism of case work should be closely combined. |
