Project Report Of Spouse Caregiver Support Group For Disabled Elderly

With the increase of the number of disabled elderly people,the group of disabled elderly spouse caregivers is also increasing,and they assume the responsibility of taking care of disabled spouse due to the influence of traditional culture and economic factors.As their own health,care pressure,lack of mutual assistance and other problems are becoming more and more prominent,it is very important to identify the needs of spouse caregivers of disabled elderly people by analyzing the problems.Is present in this paper,the author in 2019 to participate in "FCXJ project in shandong province" S community of elderly apartment in disability elderly spouse caregivers support group project report,with disability,the elderly spouse caregivers as the research object,through the Zarit burden of nursing questionnaire and semi-structured interview way of collecting data,found the fail there spouse caregivers to look after their health for the elderly,to take care of the mutual sharing of experience and skill,bad mood talk to each other and help each other to take care of demand.According to the group dynamics theory and social support theory,the service method of group social work was used to intervene the spouse caregivers of disabled elderly people in S community apartment.The author set up the general goal of helping the spouse caregivers of disabled elderly to form a mutual aid pair and build a mutual aid platform to pay attention to their own health status,release the caring pressure,regulate emotions and learn more nursing knowledge in the mutual aid.A total of 6 group activities were designed.Through 6 group activities,the relationship of spouse caregivers of disabled elderly people was realized from strangeness to recognition to trust and then to mutual assistance,and the mutual assistance relationship was maintained for a long time.Through the persistent efforts of social workers and service recipients,the goal of group work intervention has been achieved,enabling spouse caregivers of disabled elderly people to establish a more stable and supportive relationship in the long run.Finally,the author summarizes the practical experience of the spouse care-giver support group for the disabled elderly through process assessment and result assessment and makes reflection.
