| The lonely and disabled children are a special group in the vulnerable children group in China.Welfare institutions take care of children who meet the standards for adoption in welfare institutions. These children are able to meet their basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and transportation, but less attention is paid to their psychological aspects.Children in welfare institutions generally lack sense of security, sense of belonging, obvious inferiority, easy to be troubled by interpersonal communication, and weak resilience. This paper believes that lonely disabled children do have many problems, and we should not blindly look for the advantages of lonely disabled children. However, lonely and disabled children have the same needs of being respected, accepted, trusted and self-improvement as ordinary children,Society has the responsibility to meet the physical, psychological, cultural and educational needs of orphaned and disabled children, and to ensure the realization of their basic rights, such as the right to personality and education.Through data collection, interviews and scale measurement, this paper has understood the current situation of the orphaned and disabled children in this city, evaluated the needs of the orphaned and disabled children in welfare institutions, and determined specific program objectives. In the implementation process, the potential of orphaned and disabled children is stimulated through guidance, encouragement and assistance by combining the theory of advantage perspective, the theory of ecosystem and the theory of empowerment. The project activity design takes the sense of efficiency, optimism and sense of belonging as the dimensions, and carries out nine activities in total. The overall goal is achieved through reaching the goal of each stage. After the activity, the team members made timely evaluation through self-evaluation,observation and evaluation of team members, and feedback of welfare home staff, and reflected on the success and shortcomings of the intervention.Based on the practice of this municipal children’s welfare home in gansu province,In the implementation of group activities, considering the characteristics of childhood and the particularity of lonely and disabled children,we designed group activities full of interest, close to the theme and high participation of group members.Give team members full choice in the activity, explore the advantages of team members, enhance the confidence of team members, and improve their ability to face difficulties independently.Through carrying out nine activities, the participants’ awareness of the importance of resilience was enhanced, andtheir self-confidence,interpersonal skills and teamwork ability were enhanced to a certain extent.Of course, this group intervention also has many shortcomings. After summary and reflection, the author believes that group work can enhance the resilience of orphaned and disabled children. It can effectively improve the interpersonal skills, emotional management skills, social practice and other comprehensive abilities of orphaned and disabled children. At the same time,it can improve the professional quality of welfare institute staff. To effectively improve the resilience of orphaned and disabled children,we must pay attention to the high-level needs of orphaned and disabled children, make full use of advantageous resources,to improve the professionalism of welfare home staff,it is necessary to form an external network of "community, welfare home and school" for comprehensive support. |
