With the continuous advancement of urbanization,in the context of aging society, the status of left-behind children has attracted more and more attention.Because they are at the critical stage of life, the quality of growth of left-behind children will directly or indirectly affect their future development path. Most parents of left-behind children go out to work and leave their children in the countryside.Their grandparents become temporary guardians.Rural left-behind children lack parental supervision and companionship, the improper parenting methods of their grandparents, the low attention of local government and society to them, and their own reasons make the growth quality of left-behind children lower than that of non-left-behind children.Left-behind children will inevitably encounter obstacles in their growth process. Therefore,it is urgent to improve the growth quality of left-behind children in rural areas. Before the formal start of the study, the author collected relevant information about Left-behind Children and their grandparents by consulting relevant literature, field interviews and questionnaires.Afterwards, combined with the actual situation of the local, the needs of left-behind children were analyzed and the feasibility of the activity program was further discussed. Then, the special group of left-behind children is selected finally.During the implementation of the group, the team staff focused on improving the growth quality of the left-behind children by using the group working methods.Through the integration of field interviews and questionnaires, the current growth status and growth problems of the left-behind children in B Town of Zaozhuang City were analyzed in depth. In view of the homogeneity of this group, the author explores the necessity and feasibility of group work to improve the quality of rural intergenerational growth, and then deeply analyses the advantages of group work.Secondly,we use the values, methods and techniques of group social work, make use of the clarity of the objectives of group work and the homogeneity of members' problems, and demonstrate the effectiveness of group activities to carry out practical activities for left-behind children, and explore the practical effect of group social work in solving such problems in rural areas. Then the results of the service are evaluated and summarized. Finally,on the basis of practical research, social workers timely obtain relevant practical experience, and on this basis, explore the corresponding conclusions and countermeasures. Conclusion: Group work has achieved remarkable results in improving the growth quality of left-behind children in rural areas;integrating professional methods and skills and values of group work can make the service popular;and supporting group work with local characteristics can improve the growth quality of left-behind children in rural areas. In order to improve the growth quality of left-behind children in rural areas, firstly, the government actively assumes the responsibility of implementing the policy;secondly,it advocates to play the role of "four societies in one" to promote the growth quality of left-behind children in rural areas;finally,it establishes a long-term social service mechanism with local characteristics in rural areas. After in-depth analysis of the growth status and practical problems of left-behind children in rural areas, the author hopes that more people will pay attention to them. How to improve the growth quality of left-behind children and how to improve the professional services of group work need to be further explored.
