By the end of 2018.the number of elderly people aged 60 and over in China reached 249 million, accounting for 17.9%of the total population. The overall aging of the country has become an indisputable fact. With the advancement of modernization, the urban pension model has gradually developed into a pension service system based on home-based,community-based,institutional supplement, and medical care.Differentiating from the factors of intergenerational relationship and living form, the choice of urban old-age care can be divided into three aspects:intergenerational cohabitation, intergenerational separation and institutional pensions outside the community. On the one hand, the system shapes the culture, and the promotion of policies has opened up many roads for urban pensions. On the other hand, the needs and changes of family intergenerational relationships are increasingly becoming an important factor influencing the choice of old-age care for the elderly. This design will use the in-depth interview method to connect several old-age models in different families' different old-age experiences in different periods. The narrative technique combining various old-age models with family stories is used to trace the reasons for selection and restore the old-age history of urban elderly under various family relationships.
