Research On The Existing Problems And Countermeasures Of Government Micro-media In Responding To Public Emergencies

After six to seven years of exploration,the government micro-media dominated by government micro-blog and government micro-letter have formed a relatively stable pattern,playing a vital role in promoting the release of government information of party and government organs at all levels,handling crisis public relations,and strengthening the interaction between the government and the people.However,China is currently in an opportunity period of social transformation,with prominent social contradictions,complicated social relations and frequent occurrence of various public emergencies,which affect public interests and the long-term stability of the country and challenge the government's ability to cope with crises.With its unique communication advantages,government micro-media can timely publish official authoritative information in public emergencies,satisfy the public's right to know,strengthen interactive communication,ease social conflicts,and actively guide the direction of public opinion.However,due to the short rise period of government micro-media,a sound mode has not yet been formed in response to public emergencies,and the inadequacy of government micro-media in coping with crises has gradually been exposed.Firstly,this paper reviews in detail the domestic and foreign research on government micro-media and government micro-media in response to public emergencies,and clarifies the practical and theoretical significance of the research.Secondly,it introduces the concepts and characteristics of government micro-media and public emergencies,and puts forward relevant theories involved in the research process,including agenda setting theory,silent spiral theory and crisis management theory.Furthermore,from the four stages of the evolution of public emergencies,i.e.latency,outbreak,mitigation and aftermath,the role of government micro-media in public emergencies is analyzed.Then,using the knowledge of communication,management and sociology,the paper puts forward the problems of government micro-media in dealing with public emergencies.For example,the government micro-media management lacks standardization,there are loopholes in information release,the interaction mechanism is not perfect,and the emergency mechanism is not perfect.Finally,combined with the actual work of the government,the improvement countermeasures are put forward from four aspects: innovating the management mode of government micro-media,perfecting the information release strategy,strengthening the construction of interactive mechanism,and perfecting the emergency management mechanism.It is hoped that this will improve the ability of government micro-media to deal with public emergencies,give full play to the value of government micro-media,and play a positive role in building a service-oriented government and a harmonious society.
