Retired cadres are a valuable asset of the party and the country.It is the duty of Party committees and governments at all levels and an important task of public management to take care of their old age and ensure that they have a sense of security,a sense of medicine,a sense of education,a sense of learning,a sense of action and a sense of happiness.Nowadays,the retired veteran cadres have entered the period of "old age" and "high incidence" in Henan Province.The existing service management mode of retired cadres is relatively outdated and simplistic,which has been unable to better adapt to the current living situation of retired old comrades.However,how to take the working ideas of combining macrography and microcosm,long term and reality,and the work of retired veteran cadres under the provincial government with the environment of political and economic development in our province,how to study and explore the new situation and problems closely around the "old age" and "high incidence" carefully,actively reform to make innovations,and do a good job to the retired veteran cadres with a positive mental status and a strong sense of responsibility.Which is not only a problem of wide concern to the social needs,but also an important project to be solved in public management.In the paper,the research scope is the provincial government in Henan Province,and the research object is the retired veteran cadres under the Henan provincial government.Meanwhile,the methods of literature analysis,interview and investigation are mainly adopted,Maslow's hierarchy of needs,theory of harmonious society and social security theory are used as the cut-in point to investigate and analyze the current situation and problems on the service management of the retired veteran cadres.Through the research,the author points out that the service management of retired cadres in provincial-level organs is not paid enough attention to,the service facilities are not perfect,the personnel are inadequate,the party branch construction work is not enough and the service management method is not innovative.Through an in-depth analysis of the subjective and objective factors that causing these problems,it is suggested that we should strengthen the sense of service and the construction of veteran cadres' work force,promote the modern information service platform for veteran cadres to improve the management of retired cadres so as to meet the needs of the new situation.
