With the acceleration of urbanization in China and the continuous improvement of farmers' living standards,many migrant workers choose to buy houses in towns near their homes.The main reason for their purchase of houses is to provide better education for their children on the one hand,and to improve the living environment of their families on the other.Due to the pressure of buying houses,most of the farmers who buy houses in cities and towns still choose to go out to work,leaving the elderly,women and children at home.These women who stay at home have become the new generation of stay-at-home mothers living in cities and towns.For them,it is necessary to make some changes to adapt to the new urban life.Because the husband has been working abroad for a long time,the burden of the family is basically borne by the left-behind mother,including supporting parents and educating children.From the group of Left-behind mothers in Y district,we know that educating children is the most anxious thing for them at present.Previous surveys found that the education ability of the children of Left-behind mothers in some towns of Y community is relatively low,and even many of them think that they do not need to shoulder too much responsibility for their children's education,most of them rely on schools to educate their children.The main problems of Left-behind mothers in Y community focus on the pressure of educating their children,educational cognitive bias and emotional management disorders.This paper combines the theory and practical methods of social work,takes the leftbehind mothers in Y community as the object,and probes into the children education of Left-behind mothers in cities and towns.Through organizing and carrying out group work,the children's education self-confidence of Left-behind mothers in cities and towns has been improved,and they have been helped to learn how to manage their emotions and how to better educate their children in the process of educating their children.Based on the theories of social learning and social support,this study uses structured interviews and in-depth interviews to conduct research and analysis,and makes practical interventions with the help of strong interaction and pertinence of group work methods.The research mainly includes the following aspects:(1)Through structural interviews and in-depth interviews with left-behind mothers in Y community,the main problems and needs of Left-behind mothers in Y community in children's education are identified.(2)The specific process of carrying out the practical activities of the group work,as well as the process evaluation and result evaluation.Reflections are made on the problems existing in the group activities,and the positive and negative experiences are summarized.(3)To explore tentatively the ways to solve the educational problems of Leftbehind mothers and children in cities and towns,and put forward relevant suggestions.
