Research On The Evolution Mechanism Of Tourism Conflicts

In recent years,with the development of the national economy and the continuous improvement of people's living standards,tourism has gradually become an important part of people's lives.With the increasing number of tourist groups and the increasing diversification of tourism demand,conflicts between residents in tourist destinations and local governments,social organizations,foreign developers,and tourists are escalating,or because of unfair distribution of tourism revenues,unfair competition for tourism management rights,or the destruction of tourist destination environment,basic social and cultural customs,etc.,group events caused by tourism are showing a growing and increasingly complex trend.The mass incidents caused by tourism present a growing and increasingly complex trend.Understanding the mechanism and influencing factors of the evolution of mass events in tourism conflicts is the fundamental way to resolve conflicts.Therefore,it is necessary to classify tourism group events,analyze the evolution of such group events,and then propose scientific and effective solutions.Society is the sum of the social relationships that people form through interaction.When people find that the other party has the social resources they need and the other party is willing to provide the resources,it will promote the formation of exchange relations.However,due to the imbalance of resources owned by the exchange parties,inequality of power occurs in the process of social exchange.When the exchange remuneration of the disadvantaged group no longer meets the remuneration expectations of the members,the members will be deprived of consciousness.This relative deprivation will lead to open conflicts under certain conditions.Tourism society is also a social form.In tourism society,individuals in the same space form various relationships through tourism activities.The main bodies of tourism social relations include community residents,tourism enterprises,governments,social organizations,tour guides,and tourists and so on.The characteristics of the exchange behavior between tourism subjects are consistent with the research conclusions of general social exchange theory.Each exchange entity obtains the required compensation by participating in different tourism activities(tourism development,tourism decisionmaking,tourism management,etc.).Remuneration includes not only materials such as money and benefits,but also spiritual resources such as reputation,dignity,and social status.However,when a party does not receive the due compensation,he will use the regulatory loopholes to obtain the due compensation.This series of behaviors will lead to the outbreak of mass incidents under the combined effect of the external environment.In social exchange theory,theories of social attraction,exchange risk,power differentiation,exchange conflict,shared values,and institutionalization are of great significance in explaining the evolutionary mechanism of mass events in tourism conflict.By analyzing the group conflicts from these aspects,we can understand the contradictions of tourism development more comprehensively,and put forward reasonable suggestions and countermeasures for solving these problems.Therefore,from the perspective of social exchange,to analyze the group events under the conflict of tourism exchange,not only can we understand the mechanism of exchange behavior between different exchange subjects,but also truly understand the essence of the mass incident.It is helpful to better analyze the evolutionary mechanism and potential incentives of mass events in tourism conflicts.
