Research On Excerpts In Chinese Textbook Of The People's Education Press

This paper deeply studies the excerpts in current Chinese textbook of the People's Education Press(PEP)on the basis of analyzing excerpts distributions.The characteristics of excerpts is extracted and summarized by means of quantified mathematical statistics and analysis method.Based on these features presented in current Chinese textbook of PEP,I points out the existing problems,proposes some reasonable and valuable suggestions combined with current middle school education requirements.I wish these suggestions can promote rationalization and scientification for excerpts in current Chinese textbook of PEP.The main part of this paper consists of three chapters:The first chapter describes the evolution and development of excerpts in current Chinese textbook of PEP as well as current status.Chinese Curriculum Standards is the basis of textbook compiling,so section one sorts out and summarizes all the necessary requirements and demands of excerpts in Chinese Curriculum Standards over years,makes clear its developments in combination of excerpts distribution in current Chinese textbook of PEP.The second chapter summarizes the characteristics of excerpts in Chinese textbook of PEP from the aspects of compiling style and excerpt methodology.The subjects and genres of excerpts in Chinese textbook of PEP are diverse and abundant,it can meet the criteria of Chinese Curriculum Standards,but some problems still exist.The third chapter describes the problems of excerpts in Chinese textbook of PEP,then provides improvement suggestions.By demonstrating the problem of inappropriateness and atypism in current excerpts of Chinese textbook of PEP,some improvement suggestion is proposed such as establishing excerpt standards?optimizing whole and part relationship?increasing modern and contemporary excerpts and so on.The purpose is promoting rationalization,scientification and modernity for excerpts in current Chinese textbook of PEP.
