Under the strong support of the national policy,the cause of social work has flourished all over the country the social work institutions have sprung up like mushrooms,too.As part of social organizations,social work institutions,which is oriented at serving the vulnerable groups who are in need and help people solve real life difficulties and problems,alleviate the social contradictions and reduce social conflicts to some extent.It played a role in maintaining social stability and promoting the harmonious society.However,the development of social work institutions is not smooth and a variety of problems occur in the process of its rising and developing.In this paper,the author takes the social work institutions in Shenzhen X where he works and Kunming Y where he took the internship as a typical case to study and gets real and objective information through taking part in institutional management,institutional operations and institutional collaboration,case interviews,observation and literature research etc.And then he analyzed the basic situations of X and Y comprehensively from the following seven aspects:the course of the establishment of the organization,the mission of the organization,the objectives,the organizational structure,the personnel,the service object and the service content.Finally he offers some reasonable advice and solutions for promoting the development of social work institutions by focusing on the analysis of the existing problems of X and Y institutions.From the research results,the author gives comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the institutions regarding the following five aspects:the financial issues,the management,the personnel training,the professional services and the brand.Regarding the financial issues,the specific problem lies in the single source of the capital,less channels of capital obtaining,lax supervision.Regarding the management issues,managing team has to improve their personal qualities and abilities,the management approaches needs improvement,management implementation is not enough,the management system is not perfect and management cost is high.The problem of personnel training is manifested in that the structure of the social worker's talent team needs to be optimized,the promotion bottleneck,the personnel loss,the organization supervision,the social worker's career planning and training,and the imperfect social worker talent incentive mechanism.Regarding the professional services,the specific problem lies in standard-only but no indicators,service homogeneity,low-level redundant construction,vague service positioning and less popularity.The problem of the brand is that the brand awareness is weak,the brand positioning is not clear,the brand maintenance and management is insufficient and so on.The author gives five advice and solutions.First,we need to strengthen the supervision and management of the capital and broaden its channels.Secondly,we need to regulate the internal management of institutions and put the rules and regulations into actions.Thirdly,we need to strengthen the social workforce and enhance the comprehensive abilities of social workers.Fourthly,we need to improve our professional services and offer best service to people.Five,we need to develop our self-owned brand and create fine cultures for our institutions.Thus promoting the healthy development of social work organization.
